I am almost official! I finally submitted my DBA and partnership agreement with Liberty Jane Clothing. This is such a huge step in moving forward with my goals and dreams. No, I’m not planning on getting rich quick! I’m just excited to be seeing the smiling faces of those who buy and enjoy what I sew.

Earlier this week, my mom and I finished our basket of doll clothes for the church auction. It was mainly for raising money for the youth’s Trek trip. Mom included a full Trek outfit. It turned out super cute!

This weekend I bought a bunch of patterns from Pixiefaire.com and a few really cute fabrics from a local craft store. Time to get busy! Little one is sick and the Cottonwood is starting to fall so it has been the perfect time to stay in and sew.

I did learn a few things this weekend. My machine ( Husqvarna Emerald 116) has an automatic button hole setting! I’ve had this beast for 4 years and read the manual many times but somehow never seemed to cross my mind that I might use it. Well, I love her even more now.  Also learned that if you put interfacing behind your knit fabric, it makes button hole sewing much more of a possibility.

Here’s what I finished this weekend:

I was very excited to see that Pixie Faire has their Marketplace up and running. Another great place to see great work and get ideas. Funny thing… right after I finished the black Aztec leggings, I was browsing the marketplace and saw the exact fabric and leggings! Two great minds must think alike!

Good times,
